Having grown up in Cass and Sarpy Counties in southeast Nebraska, Kirk Huxhold knows all about this stretch of the river. In recent years, he built the log cabin you see upon arriving and has since made a number of additions / improvements to the property. There’s nothing like looking out of the window to the same family of deer coming back to their spot to eat each day, spotting various kinds of birds flying across the pond through binoculars, or walking out to the river with the dogs to enjoy the sunset.
